Live fairs cannot be replaced

Although there are many different digital approaches, face-to-face fairs can definitely not be replaced by digital solutions. As early as 2020, the DREMA trade fair has proven that a successful trade fair can also be held during the corona pandemic - from Jürgen Köppel, Eumabois President, statement.

“Times are still very challenging, although the corona pandemic has cooled down a bit. On the other hand, however, we are seeing a clear economic recovery, especially in the wood processing industry, which is even leading to a shortage of wood as raw material in some countries.

As Eumabois President as well as Leitz CEO, I very much regret that the world's leading trade fair Ligna was canceled this year. At the point of time when the decision was made and under the given conditions, this was certainly the right decision. In 2021, however, an important component is missing in the global trade fair landscape.

Although there are many different digital approaches, face-to-face fairs can definitely not be replaced by digital solutions. Therefore, it is even more important that the planning for DREMA 2021 is already in full swing so the gap created by the Ligna cancellation can at least partially be closed for the Polish market. As early as 2020, the DREMA trade fair has proven that a successful trade fair can also be held during the corona pandemic. The security concepts that emerged at that time were further optimized in order to guarantee the security of visitors and exhibitors as good as possible, because that is the top priority all the time.

I wish DREMA 2021 and everyone involved a lot of success and a safe execution of the trade fair.”
