Skills Boot Camp

Each year Skills Boot Camp generates great interest from DREMA visitors, being a unique place to showcase - also in action - machinery designed for surface preparation and application of protective coatings in furniture production.

Manufacturers and distributors of furniture, surface preparation equipment, coating and drying systems, as well as paints and varnishes have an excellent opportunity to share their experience. All participants of the Boot Camp can display their offers and talk to specific customers, because the event is visited by professionals wishing to find out how particular devices or varnishes work in practice.

Only during such field examination, accompanied by specialists, can they test exhibited tools and devices: wet coating applications, hook conveyor systems, grinding and sanding tools, exhaust, coating analysis equipment, etc. They are at visitors' disposal all day long.

This year, the following companies will make their solutions available for testing in this special area:

• Techmal will exhibit the new Optima 2100 spray gun from Befrag, featuring aircoat system with the K30 piston pump from Asturo. Moreover, air coating operations will be performed using Optima 650 gun connected to a pressure tank and a low-pressure membrane pump.
• Kremlin will present wet coating applications and pumps. The demonstrations will involve Sopur stains applied in the Gama spray booth.
• Wagner-Service will show two coating devices. WAGNER TwinControl 28-40/40 is a 2-component CNC system with the following specifications: ratio 28:1, mixing proportions: 0.1:1 to 20:1, mixing error: +/- 2%, pump capacity: 3 x 40 cm³. The device is characterised by: varnish life control with alarm system; automatic rinsing; data on the use of specific components; simple operation. The other device is WAGNER GM 4000 AirCoat gun - part of the latest line of guns, lightweight and highly ergonomic, with even higher spraying quality, compared with GM 3000 AC line.
• Nawara Serwis will demonstrate the Schuko Farb-Meister 20/20 PK coating unit. It is a dry-coat Farb-Meister 20/20 version with a paperboard filter and main filter (Paint-Stop fabric), featuring anti-explosion fan with a capacity of 6,500 m³/h air volume. Using pre-made extension elements, the extraction capacity of this specially designed device can be increased, being easily covered by a fan with properly selected specifications. As the vent can be mounted either on the left or right panel, depending on customer needs, the unit can be conveniently installed in any working area. Supplied with the standard version, a damper mounted on the fan pipe enables economical management of hot air, resulting in lower energy consumption.
• Atlas Copco will supply Boot Camp installations with compressed air, using an in-house developed compressor.
• Plantag, Italcolor and Sopur will supply paints and coatings. Morover Italcolor will also showcase a paint application device and Sopur  methods of puryfing wooden surfaces.
