The General Meeting of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers EUMABOIS, held in Poznań on 14 September, was devoted to the election of new authorities of the Federation.
Franz Josef Buetfering is the new President of the organisation. He will hold his post until 2010, i.e. the time of new elections. Ambrogio Delachi from Acimall Association was appointed Vice-President. Gianni Ghizonni, former President, was asked to take the post of Advisor. The participants expressed their recognition for his work that strengthened the international position of the Federation. During his term of office, Ghizonni wanted to optimise the calendar of international exhibition events for the sector and to decrease exhibition costs.
Zdenek Bezdek from the Czech Republic became a new member of the Board of Directors and joined the remaining members - Niell Erik Lundvig from Denmark and Marcial Paris from Spain.
The meeting organised jointly by the Association of Manufacturers of Woodworking Machinery, Devices and Tools DROMA and the Poznań International Fair was held as a General Meeting. The decisions taken will make it possible to perform tasks in the coming months. Events held in Moscow, Beijing, India and South America have been included in the calendar of trade shows recommended by EUMABOIS, which also includes the International Trade Fair of Machines and Tools for the Wood and Furniture Industries DREMA.
