Next edition of DREMA fair: 9-12.04.2013

More than 24,500 specialists visited the DREMA and FURNICA fair.

One of the largest and most important fair events in Europe devoted to woodworking, DREMA 2012, and the accompanying International Trade Fair of Components for Furniture Production FURNICA has finished. Activity around the stands, workshops, conferences and symposia filled to capacity - this is a short summary of this year’s edition.

The newest, previously available on the market as well as debuting solutions for different sectors of the woodworking industry and components for furniture production - this is the main reason why professionals visited Poznań on 27-30 March this year. On these days 555 companies from 17 countries presented their products on a surface area of 24 300 m2 at the Poznań International Fair grounds. The event was attended by companies that offer such machinery for preworking of wood as sawmill technologies, drying equipment, machinery for veneer processing, laminating, veneering, milling machines, as well as elements of furniture finishing, semi-finished products, accessories and more.

Busy from the first day

The large scale promotional campaign preceding the exhibition has brought about the expected effect. 24 500 professionals visited our fair - mainly representatives of large companies specializing in woodworking, furniture manufacturing and broadly defines timber processing. There were also owners of small and medium carpentry businesses. I visited this year Drema and Furnica and I am positively surprised by the wide range of new products from both machines and components for furniture production categories. I highly esteem exhibitors’ preparation, who not only prepared several new and very interesting products, but also made efforts to make their stands attract attention. - said A. Live production

DREMA FURNICA is not only about exhibitor’s stands. It also includes unique special areas. Once again we invited you to visit our popular Conjured from Wood competition and the Polish Championship in Nail Hammering. Within the scope of Live Furniture Factory we presented full scale production of cupboards, from cutting wood-based board to packing of a finished product. The Factory’s creators presumed that the technological equipment of the production line should be of a universal nature, which enables production of various products from wood-based board, also in short batches, which makes adjusting production capacity to changing demands of the market easier.

German market in close-up

Dr Marek Borowiński, a Visual Merchandising specialist was a special guest to the Furnica fair. He delivered lectures entitled “Social marketing and furniture industry” and “Furniture sale on the German market”. Within the scope of the highly popular European Design exhibition, discussion panels devoted to characteristics of sales and offer design for the German market were organised. A fervent discussion was also stirred by a panel started by the EMANDES designer duet, in which we discussed the purposefulness of signing furniture with the designer’s name.

Success once more      

Both exhibitors and visitors once again appreciated the professional nature of the event. Yet again the DREMA FURNICA fair marked itself as the leading industry fair in Central and Eastern Europe. We invite you today to the next, surely not less successful edition of DREMA FURNICA in 2013.
